Sandra Villines, 44, a district manager for Walgreens, is an accomplished runner who has completed 27 ultra-marathons, including the 135-mile-long Badwater Ultramarathon, billed as “the world’s toughest foot race.” She completed an Ironman triathlon in October 2016 in a time of 14 hours and 27 minutes and she is the 2016 Women’s Masters’ Champion of the Daytona 100 in Florida, in 20 hours and 27 minutes. In August 2017 she will attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for Fastest Crossing of America on Foot (female.) That record, set in 1978 by Mavis Hutchinson, currently stands at 69 days, 2 hours and 40 minutes.
